History PNYBF was established in 1989. Poland became the first Communist country in Eastern Europe to establish Little league Baseball. Tony Arnista became the First President of PNYBF in 1989. He passed away in 2002. In the 16 years since it's inception approximately 100 tons of baseball gear and uniforms have been shipped to Poland. This represents about 90% of all the gear that is in Poland. Since baseball and softball are not yet high profile sports in Poland equipment is not yet available in sporting goods stores. What PNYBF sends is both new and used gear donated by generous baseball organizations and individuals. Kliny Baseball ( Czernikowo) had equipment needs in 2000, click the link to read their story.
